De Kalysta collectie vormt een belangrijke mijlpaal voor Hysek, aangezien de fabricage nu gelijk is aan dames- en herencollecties in huis. De nieuwe collectie vestigt ook het bedrijf in het exclusieve segment van de productie van fijne horloges voor vrouwen.
Kalysta is het fruit van een pure esthetische visie: stel juwelen. Gezien het feit dat vrouwen meer gevoelig zijn voor creatieve aanraking dan bij mechanische verfijning, heeft de productie vooral gedacht aan vorm, diamanten, briljantheid en emotie.
Kalysta gebruikt geen traditionele handen. In plaats daarvan biedt de collectie een hele nieuwe manier om de tijd te lezen. Hysek ontwikkelt daarbij een 100% exclusieve eigen complicatie. 'S middags geeft een raam openingsuren aan. Een marquise saffier reist om de roosgouden ring, de roze kleur die de passerende minuten aanduidt, in tegenstelling tot de snow-set bezel waarmee het loopt, waardoor het perfect leesbaar is. De witte poedercoated dial is beschermd door een 39mm roosgouden hoesje, waarover een vlinder hangt, die zijn vleugels over een geëtst bloemenmotief verspreidt. Noch gegraveerd of geverfd, de vlinder is een appliqué. Hysek koos voor deze techniek, want het is de enige die de indruk van de vlucht echt geeft, evenals een ongelooflijk gevoel van diepte aan de wijzerplaat.
Kalysta is both a unique piece and a whole collection. Within the Kalysta range, the “Exotic Tale” model offers a new level of uniqueness. Its snow-white setting is composed of diamonds of different sizes, scattered across the Kalysta’s convex bezel. This apparently random setting is more complex than regularly-spaced diamonds of equal size, calling for outstanding care when selecting stones and taking much longer than traditional jewel-setting methods.
“Heaven’s Tale” and “Night’s Tale” offer further variations on the same theme. The first one features a mother-of-pearl back in purple or blue hues, with the same concentric rhodium-plated minute track highlighting the 1, 5, 7 and 11 hour markers, the manufacture’s favourite figures. The minutes are displayed by a diamond on the purple model and by a sapphire on the blue model. Sporting a black dial and strap, the “Night’s Tale” variation features a diamond butterfly encircled by a bezel set in snow white atop a titanium case, making the piece especially light to wear.
Quartz versions of Kalysta are also available. Four gold models and six titanium models powered by a quartz movement have been crafted by Hysek. Their bezel is set with between one and three rows of diamonds, playing on the rising and falling numbers of stones to create a wave effect. We can admire a motif much beloved of Hysek on the dial surface: a fine rosette engraving, enhancing the shine of the diamonds. The straps on all the Kalysta variations are interchangeable.
